RiderTua.com – BYD has presented three of its flagship electric cars in Indonesia, namely Atto 3, Dolphin and Seal. Even so, the three of them cannot be ordered at this time, perhaps because they are still making further preparations. However, BYD is now opening orders for its cheapest Dolphin variant, which is priced at IDR 375 million. Even though previously this electric hatchback car was said to have only one variant, namely Premium.
BYD Dolphin Can Now be Ordered in Indonesia
Dolphin is one of three electric cars presented by BYD in Indonesia apart from Atto 3 and Seal. This model has also been at the forefront of the global BEV model market in recent months, and has been able to become one of the best-selling electric cars in the world. Moreover, BYD’s sales network is quite extensive, of course this has helped its sales.
Even though the BEV market in Indonesia is dominated by SUV models, BYD still presents the Dolphin hatchback and Seal sedan, along with the Atto 3 SUV which is also at the top. However, the three of them are still not produced here because the factory has not yet been established. Even though it still has to be imported from abroad, BYD is ready to sell its cars here.

Two Variant Choices
Recently BYD opened orders for the cheapest variant of the Dolphin at the electric vehicle exhibition. This variant is sold for IDR 375 million, and this price is cheaper than the Premium trim which is priced at IDR 425 million. What sets it apart is the single tone color choice, different rim design, mileage of 410 km, and no electric seats and panoramic sunroof.
Initially BYD only offered one variant, and that was the highest variant, because they saw that Indonesian consumers mostly bought the most expensive variant of electric cars. But in the end they released the cheapest variant to fill the market below.
