RiderTua.com – The day after crashing during warm-up at the Spanish GP, Pedro Acosta felt pain in all the bones in his body. “Everything hurts. Destroying the bike (crash) when it’s so close to race time is not a good idea. But it can happen,” said the GasGas Tech3 team rookie with a smile.
He looked stiff as Acosta struggled to put on his racing suit, but as usual he got up without stopping. The 19 year old rider completed the test program by completing 75 laps and was in 11th position on the time record at the end of the day.
Despite Pain Pedro Acosta Completes 75 Laps in Jerez Test

“This is a good day. If we are in the paddock, when the truck is there and all the necessary spare parts are there, then the job will be finished in no time,” explained Pedro Acosta.
You can see a new front fairing, several experiments with the ride height device and additional modifications to the shock absorber. The GasGas Tech3 team completed a program that should make driving more fun and easier for Acosta.
“Our bike is quite complicated on fast tracks. But we have improved, and this is very important in connection with the Mugello GP. Another problem is that the bike moved a lot at Jerez during the weekend, just like in Malaysia,” said the rider from Murcia, Spain.
The rider nicknamed the Mazarron Shark emphasized that if you don’t know where the problem comes from and neither a different shock absorber, a swing arm with a different stiffness, nor the rear wheel itself makes a difference, then it’s difficult to find a solution. Ducati has the same problem, with Jorge Martin. The GasGas team must adapt and continue working step by step.
