RiderTua.com – Toyota is indeed quite successful in selling cars in Indonesia, as proven by its high sales figures so far. Even with its high demand in each segment, they can still handle it all. It’s just that not all Toyota cars can have short order waiting times. Like the latest generation Alphard which has a queue for orders that lasts up to a year.
Toyota Meets the Large Demand for Alphard in Indonesia
Since it was first launched last year, the All New Alphard immediately became the center of attention in the premium MPV segment in Indonesia. How could it not be, after all this time Toyota has finally presented its latest generation model which is more modern and equipped with more complete features. This model still offers a hybrid engine like the previous model.
Despite its good reception in its market, Toyota has been faced with high demand over the past few months. Previously, the Alphard Hybrid had an order waiting time of up to six months, but now it has reached a year. Meanwhile, the petrol engine version only lasts two or three months, much shorter than the environmentally friendly version.

No Price Discount
It is clearly not surprising that an environmentally friendly variant of a car sells better than the petrol engine or ICE version. This also applies to Alphard, and the long period of the hybrid variant can indicate high demand for this variant. Not to mention that the model is imported directly from Japan, so Indonesian consumers have to queue with other countries.
Meanwhile, the new generation Vellfire still does not show the length of the order queue in Indonesia. Neither Alphard nor Vellfire get a price discount, while Voxy gets a discount of IDR 5 million this month. I don’t know whether this is because of the long pivot that Toyota gets from its two luxury MPVs.
