RiderTua.com – Toyota does have various SUV models that it sells in Indonesia. Like the small SUV Raize which is sold with its twin from Daihatsu, namely Rocky. So far, neither Toyota nor Daihatsu have increased the prices of these two small SUVs. Including other competitors in its class, such as Honda, Kia, Nissan, Wuling and MG Motor.
Toyota and Honda are Not Making Price Adjustments for Small SUVs
Both Raize and Rocky have received good reception in their markets since being introduced to Indonesia several years ago. Even though it hasn’t received a refresh until now (except for Rocky which only got minor changes), its sales are still quite good. Even then, the selling price is still affordable, although this month Toyota and Daihatsu have not made any adjustments to their prices.
The same thing can also be seen in its competitors, one of which is Honda with the WR-V which has been its flagship so far. When compared to the Raize and Rocky, the WR-V only has four trim options, and even then the highest trim is sold more expensive than the most expensive Raize variant. Still, there is no visible price movement this month.
Demand Still High
Price increases are also not visible on models such as the Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, MG ZS, Wuling Alvez, and Chery Tiggo 5x. The Tiggo 5x model itself was just released last February, so Chery can’t just increase the price of the car. This model only offers two trim options, unlike its rivals which have more than two variants.
So far, demand for small SUVs is still quite high in Indonesia. The Rocky-Raize is still the best-selling model in its segment so far, although the WR-V also recorded quite good sales results. Meanwhile, for new models such as the Tiggo 5x, the results may only be visible several months later.
