Now it’s the Baleno Hatchback’s turn to get a price increase starting this month, although with a slight difference from the old price. But if you look, only Suzuki has increased the price of its cars in the hatchback segment. Meanwhile, competitors such as Toyota, Honda and Mazda still sell it at the old price.
Suzuki Baleno Hatchback Price Increases Starting This Month
The hatchback segment is still quite promising in Indonesia, even though currently only four brands sell it. Entering April, Suzuki made price adjustments for its flagship hatchback, namely the Baleno. Previously this model was sold for IDR 281.4 million, now the price has increased to IDR 283.9 million, but if you look at the price difference it is still quite small.
Indeed, there is only one variant available in Indonesia, but the Baleno is not the only one that offers one trim choice in its segment. Mazda with the Mazda2 model also has one variant, with a more expensive price than the Baleno, namely IDR 367.7 million. It’s just that so far there has been no change in the price this month.
Prices Still Stable
Similar things can also be found in other hatchback models, such as the Toyota Yaris and Honda City Hatchback. The most expensive variant of the Yaris is sold for IDR 349 million, but the City Hatchback is the most expensive model in its class at IDR 382.5 million for the highest variant. But this variant includes Honda Sensing, one of the safety features that is characteristic of Honda products.
The Yaris is still the best-selling car in its segment so far, followed by the City Hatchback, Mazda2 and Baleno Hatchback. It’s true that the Baleno is still imported from abroad, but the price is quite affordable when compared to its competitors. Moreover, the newest model which was released last month is considered sufficient to provide an appropriate price.
