RiderTua.com – Isuzu already plans to produce an electric version of the D-Max starting next year in Thailand. Later, this double cabin pickup will be presented to attack its strongest rival, namely the Toyota Hilux, which will also have a similar variant. Actually, Isuzu could present the D-Max Electric in other countries such as Indonesia. But for now there is no chance.
Isuzu will Assemble the D-Max Electric Next Year
The electric-powered d-cab pickup segment is now starting to develop after Tesla and Ford introduced the Cybertruck and F-150 Lightning. Even though both are still sold in the United States, a number of other manufacturers are starting to be interested in developing BEV pickups. As did Isuzu, where they prepared the D-Max Electric in Thailand to be assembled a year later.
Of course, this can provide an opportunity to be able to sell it in other countries after production starts. It’s just that Isuzu still hasn’t confirmed whether there are opportunities in Indonesia, considering that the electric car market is only growing here. They will wait until the time comes to present it, whether it is the D-Max Electric or another model.

Electric D-Cab Pickup
It is known that Isuzu will display an electric vehicle at this year’s GIIAS exhibition, but they still do not want to give any clues about what model they will present. There is a strong possibility that the model in question is the D-Max Electric, although it is still a concept and not a mass production version, because production starts next year. Not to mention that Isuzu also has other environmentally friendly commercial vehicles that it could introduce later.
Indeed, the D-Max Electric will be assembled in Thailand, but the first country to get the unit is Norway. Obviously because Europe has quite strict emission regulations, and this also applies to pickup cars like the D-Max. However, this could be an opportunity for manufacturers like Isuzu to sell electric-powered d-cab pickups.
