RiderTua.com – Wuling Binguo is still one of its mainstays in Indonesia since it was launched at the end of last year. During the first two months, this electric car was able to sell more than 1,000 units, so it was able to occupy the top position in the market. However, this Wuling BEV model experienced a quite drastic decline in sales last month. But its reception in the market is still quite good.
Wuling Binguo Experienced a Decline in Sales Last Month
Maybe for a new car like the Binguo, this model will immediately become attractive to Indonesian consumers because it has larger dimensions than the Air EV. Moreover, with its longer distance, it allows users to drive it outside the city. It is not surprising that sales from December 2023 to January 2024 could exceed 1,000 units.
However, last February, sales dropped drastically to 428 units, far from what was expected. Wuling said this was due to the large number of holidays during this period, so that deliveries of car units to consumers also decreased. Even though in the same month, the IIMS 2024 exhibition was held, but it seems that was not enough to increase sales just like that.

Still in Demand
Despite these conditions, Wuling said Binguo still received a good reception in the BEV market in Indonesia. They also saw that its sales performance last month had become something normal, even though a similar situation had also happened to the Air EV. But Binguo is quite famous for its line-up which is more varied than previous models.
So far, Binguo is still sought after by Indonesian consumers, even after Wuling launched Cloud EV last month. It’s clear that this model is not yet sold or produced locally at the moment, but they will still start sales this year. For now, Air EV and Binguo are the mainstays in the electric car market.
