RiderTua.com – Wuling now has three electric cars sold in Indonesia, consisting of the Air EV, Binguo and Cloud EV. Of these three models, Binguo still attracts consumers’ attention by offering a number of advantages in terms of features and performance. Previously, Wuling noted that its model had sold more than 1,000 units. However, sales fell drastically to 400 units last month.
Wuling Binguo Only Sold 428 Units in February
Actually, as a new car, Binguo could sell more than that, especially with the results it got last January. During that time, this new electric car from Wuling was able to sell 1,876 units, and was even able to occupy 12th position in overall car sales in Indonesia. Of course that is a pretty good result for an electric car like Binguo.
However, suddenly sales dropped drastically to 428 units in February 2024. Obviously this situation raises questions about market conditions at that time, because it is unusual for sales to immediately decline below 500 units. Wuling explained that this happened due to the many holidays throughout last February.
Competition is Getting Tougher
Of course, with so many holidays, shipping cars to consumers cannot be done smoothly, so this has a big impact on sales. Clearly this has become something that cannot be avoided, especially with the increasing number of new models being launched on the electric car market in Indonesia. Not to mention that Wuling has launched the Cloud EV as its third BEV car.
Actually, this is not something new, because Air EV has also experienced something similar. However, sales of more than 1,000 units only occurred for one month, and after that the car sales could only be sold below that. Who knows what about the Cloud EV, but because the model has just been released, it looks like Wuling still has to see what the market is like.
