RiderTua.com – Chery’s name is becoming increasingly well known by presenting a number of superior SUV cars in Indonesia. Especially with the success of Omoda 5 and its variants in the market over the last few months. However, Chery still wants to expand its market by presenting new brands. Known as Jetour, this brand is ready to present two SUVs, namely the Dashing and X70.
Chery to Bring New Brand This Year
Perhaps not many people would have thought that Chery actually has more other car brands abroad, especially in its hometown. One of them is Jetour, which is still classified as a new brand because it has only been around since 2022. Even so, they have two products that are mainstays in the market, namely Dashing and X70.
Both are confirmed to be sold in Indonesia starting in the third quarter of this year, or around July 2024. Even though they are both SUVs, these two models will be placed in separate segments, where the Dashing is placed in the 5-seater SUV segment, the X70 in the SUV segment 7-seater. Like its own products, Chery ensures that Jetour continues to offer high quality cars at affordable prices.
More Model Choices
It is stated that these two new cars will be sold for under IDR 500 million. However, other details such as specifications and the features it will bring are still unclear, but perhaps the model will not be much different from those sold abroad. Moreover, a price tag of less than IDR 500 million is enough for SUV models such as the Dashing and X70.
If the model is released next July, this means Jetour will also appear at the GIIAS 2024 exhibition which will be held in the same month. It is not yet clear whether the model will be imported directly from abroad or assembled locally. Because they could borrow Chery’s car assembly facilities, but because it is relatively new, maybe that is not their focus for now.
