RiderTua.com – BYD has presented three electric cars in Indonesia, and interestingly, all three are available as different types of models. Like the Dolphin which is the flagship electric hatchback to fight the MG 4 EV. Actually, BYD still has another hatchback model on the global market, namely the Seagull. This model is in the spotlight because its design is similar to a Lamborghini car.

BYD Also Sells the Seagull Hatchback in the Global Market

Of the several models sold by BYD, the Seagull can be said to be quite unique because its design is so modern when compared to the Dolphin. Unlike other hatchbacks which have an elegant style, this model has a sporty design. If you look at the shape of the fascia, at first glance it is similar to a Lamborghini.

Actually, this is not too surprising, because BYD recruited former Lamborghini car designer, Wolfgang Egger, to design the Seagull. It’s not surprising that many people call it the ‘Lamborghini Mini’, but this kind of design is attractive to the target market. Considering that hatchbacks are mostly sought after by young consumers who want a sporty style car at an affordable price but still comfortable to drive.

    Ocean Series

The Seagull is equipped with a number of complete features, from a 10.1 inch touch screen, Bluetooth connection, four airbags, to heated rearview mirrors. Maybe this feature sounds quite strange, but it is useful for avoiding condensation when driving in cold weather. Because it is an electric car, the electric motor can produce 74 hp of power and 135 Nm of torque, and the battery has a capacity of 30.08 kWh and 38.88 kWh.

This model has been sold on the global market for quite a long time, and BYD has only just presented it in South America, but under the name Dolphin Mini Honor Edition. In fact, both the Seagull and Dolphin are hatchback cars and are included in the Ocean Series. This BYD car line-up is named after sea animals.

I don’t know why BYD doesn’t sell it in Indonesia. Because Seagull could be presented as an alternative choice to Dolphin.
