RiderTua.com – Suzuki was successful in participating in the IIMS 2024 automotive exhibition which was held for 10 days. In that time period, they have collected 1.2k car orders from visitors. From these results, Suzuki noted that the XL7 Hybrid was its best-selling car. Meanwhile, the new Jimny model is also much sought after by Indonesian consumers.
Suzuki XL7 Hybrid Most Ordered at IIMS 2024
During the exhibition, Suzuki only officially presented the Jimny 5-Door in Indonesia. Even so, this newest SUV has succeeded in attracting the attention of many visitors who are curious to see the model up close. It was also said that hundreds of visitors took test drives using this car.
Because of its high popularity, it is not surprising that 263 units of the new Jimny variant were ordered. However, this is not the highest order figure for Suzuki, because the XL7 Hybrid holds that title, with 291 units ordered by visitors. Maybe it’s not too surprising, considering that this low SUV has many fans in the market.
Hybrid Car
Apart from the XL7 Hybrid, the hybrid version of the Ertiga and Grand Vitara also contributed quite good results, recording orders of 165 units and 52 units respectively. Indeed, if you compare it with the results obtained by the XL7 Hybrid, the difference is quite large. But at least Suzuki still relies on these three in the environmentally friendly car market in Indonesia.
The presence of the Jimny 5-Door was worried by a number of people because it could disrupt sales of other Suzuki cars. However, with the sales results during the exhibition already out, it seems that the legendary SUV did not have such a significant impact. Except for the Ertiga and Grand Vitara, the XL7 continues to sell well with high demand in the low SUV market so far.
Maybe the Jimny 5-Door won’t be the only new car in Indonesia this year. Suzuki could release another new model.
