RiderTua.com – MG Motor has said that they are interested in selling hybrid cars in Indonesia. So far there have been a number of HEV models sold on the market, but most of them are still plug-in models. Until finally MG Motor released the 3 Hybrid+ model some time ago. Later this environmentally friendly hatchback will be sold in continental Europe and Asia Pacific.
MG Motor Releases 3 Hybrid+ As Its First Non-PHEV Car
From its design, the 3 Hybrid+ still displays the design language that has been the hallmark of MG Motor for so long. At first glance, the fascia reminds the design of the 4 EV, and even though they are both hatchback cars, the 3 Hybrid+ looks more elegant. Still, the impression of a European car can still be felt from the exterior design of both.
Unlike other plug-in models from MG, the 3 Hybrid+ uses regular hybrid components, consisting of a petrol engine, electric motor, battery and generator. This 1,500 cc petrol engine is combined with Hybrid+ technology, so it can produce a combined power of 143 kW. Because it uses hybrid technology, the car can consume less fuel, namely 4.4 liters per 100 km, or 22.7 km/liter.

Apart from being more fuel efficient, this technology can also reduce the carbon emissions produced. To maximize the use of its technology, MG Motor has embedded a number of modes, consisting of EV, Series, Series and Charge, Drive and Charge, and Parallel modes. There are also Eco, Standard and Sport driving modes, and obviously each has its own use, so it can be adapted to the user’s driving style.
Even though they now have many electric cars, MG Motor cannot just ignore the hybrid car market. They will sell these 3 Hybrid+ in Europe and Asia Pacific. So there is a possibility that Indonesia will be included, considering that previously MG Motor said they were interested in selling hybrid cars.
