Suzuki Has Sent 400 Jimny 5-Door Units to Indonesian Consumers

RiderTua.com – Suzuki is still trying to meet the high demand for the Jimny 5-door in Indonesia. Despite previous anticipation, they received a backlog of orders which caused a pivot lasting several months. But so far Suzuki has still been able to send more than 400 Jimny 5-door units to consumers. That’s quite good, considering that interest in this car is quite high, like the 3-door model.

The Suzuki Jimny 5-Door is Much in Demand in Indonesia

SUV cars are still one type of car that is much sought after by consumers all over the world today, including Indonesia. So Suzuki took advantage of this opportunity to present a new variant of the Jimny with 5 doors or 5 doors. Not only that, they also want to expand their product line-up and meet demand for Jimny which is still quite high here.

Like the 3-door model, demand for the 5-door Jimny is also quite high, even resulting in quite long order queues. Suzuki himself already knew this would happen, even though the conditions were not as bad as before, where the turnaround could take up to five years. For the 5-door model, the maximum period can be five months or less.

Long Order Queue

Despite the long queue for ordering the car, Suzuki has been able to send more than 400 Jimny 5-door units to consumers. Deliveries have started since the IIMS 2024 automotive exhibition which was held last February. It seems that Suzuki has been quite fast in meeting demand in its market, even though its units are still imported from abroad.

Previously there was talk about the potential for the Jimny to be assembled in Indonesia. Suzuki said that they could do it, provided that demand in the domestic market far exceeded production capabilities in India. Currently, there is no potential for the Jimny to be produced locally here.
