RiderTua.com – BMW has launched the i5 in Indonesia as a new model to add more to its environmentally friendly car line-up. This sedan has become the new flagship after launching models such as the iX1, iX, i4 and i7. It’s just that BMW didn’t announce the selling price after releasing the i5. The official price will only be announced next month.
The i-Series has been well received in its market so far, after BMW launched the i3 and i8 in Indonesia several years ago. Now they carry more models, especially SUVs which are now sought after by many consumers. They then presented the i5 as another electric sedan model after the i4 and i7.
It’s just that the price for this model was not announced after it was launched. Although this is not something unusual, because not all manufacturers can announce the selling price of their newest car after it is released. It’s just that BMW has its own reasons why they didn’t announce it.
BMW said that it will show prices for the i5 in April as part of its strategy. They chose to find the right time to announce it after Eid. Maybe this isn’t a problem, as long as they can still present their newest cars in Indonesia.
After the i5, BMW will launch other 5 Series models, from petrol or ICE (internal combustion engine) models to touring models. There are actually four models sold on the global market, leaving only the PHEV (plug-in hybrid) model. But it seems they prefer to present only the electric version, because demand is quite high in the market.
