Regarding the price, the Malaysian version of the Yamaha R25 2024 model marketed by Hong Leong Yamaha is sold for 19,464 ringgit or around IDR 64.6 million. Available in 2 color choices, namely white with a striking cyan combination, and Yamaha’s signature Racing Blue color. The R25 which is present in Indonesia itself is sold for IDR 70.6 million (ABS type).
This full-fairing sports motorbike can be added with a quick-shifter feature as an additional option, which has also been available since the previous model in 2023. This feature can be purchased separately for around IDR 2.2 million.
2 Cylinder 250cc Engine
Yamaha R25 is powered by a 249cc, DOHC 8 valve, liquid-cooled 2-cylinder engine capable of producing around 34.5 HP of power at 12,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 23 Nm at 10,000 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and transmits its power to the rear wheels via a chain.
In Malaysia itself, there are new regulations regarding exhaust gas emissions that are stricter, this has resulted in a decrease in the power of the engine used by this motorbike by 1 HP. It weighs 166 kg with a seat height of 780 mm from the ground.
The tank capacity can accommodate 14 liters, the digital LCD instrument panel cannot be connected to a cellphone, the lighting sector is full LED, the suspension uses an upside-down type at the front and a monoshock at the rear and the design remains the same as the Yamaha R series design language .
