Luca Marini explained that racing will start soon, and now he can start the season as part of the Repsol Honda Team. According to Luca, this first weekend will give him and his team the opportunity to finalize some details of the test and also better understand how to work together during the race weekend. “We have work to do, and I am excited to start as a Honda factory racer,” added the Italian rider.
For Joan Mir, 2024 will be his second season with Honda and he will be tasked with leading Honda’s development. “The new season is finally here! We are always excited to start the year and get back to racing because nothing can compare to racing on a MotoGP bike. We have had good time between the test and this weekend to continue training and preparing everything to start the year.” said the 2020 MotoGP World Champion.
The former Suzuki rider continued, “I’m happy with everyone’s progress and I’m confident we can continue to make improvements during the Qatar GP. This will be a weekend to build on and capitalize on key moments. Our target is to start stronger than we did this season then to start the year in a positive way.”
