RiderTua.com – Qatar MotoGP Schedule 2024 (Night Race).. This weekend or to be precise on March 8-10, the 2024 MotoGP World Championship will start with the Qatar GP. Last year the Lusail circuit, which has been on the World Motor Racing Championship calendar since 2004, was held in November as the penultimate round of the 2023 season due to work on racing facilities. But from next Sunday the ‘Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar’ will once again be the start of the World Championship.
The Lusail International Circuit is 5,380 km long with 10 right bends and 6 left bends remaining unchanged. The longest straight is 1,068 km long and regularly ensures a top speed of more than 350 km/h.
Qatar MotoGP Schedule 2024 (Night Race)

The Qatar GP has been held at night since 2008. At that time, the MotoGP race took place at 11 pm local time, with Casey Stoner as the winner. Sometimes practice even lasts until 01.30 local time.
In recent years, start times have often been postponed. The first full distance MotoGP race this year will start on Sunday (next) at 8 pm local time or 00:00 (WIB) West Indonesian time.
Defending champion Pecco Bagnaia confirmed his role as favorite by being the best in pre-season testing on the new Ducati Desmosedici GP24. In a time of 1:50.952 minutes, Valentino Rossi’s pupil became the first and only MotoGP rider who was able to stay under 1:51 minutes at the Lusail circuit.
However, in the last 2 years, thanks to Enea Bastianini (2022) and Fabio di Giannatonio (2023) the Gresini team celebrated victory at the Qatar GP. It will be more interesting to see how 8-time world champion Marc Marquez performs after finishing 4th in the test in Qatar on his first race weekend as a Ducati rider.
