RiderTua.com – Apparently, in the American market their middle class naked motorbike still uses the old name, namely CB500F. As we know, the CB500 Hornet/CB500F was just launched yesterday with a new, more modern model starting at the end of 2022. Now this motorbike is available on the market in Uncle Sam’s country.
Totally Changed Design
The exterior appearance is now more boxy, especially the hexagonal-shaped main lights and the rear tail design is similar to the CBR400R. Not to forget the various modern features such as full-LED lighting, the instrument panel now uses a 5 inch TFT screen which can control the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) system at 2 levels and can be turned off as well as the ABS system.

The Honda CB500F supports connection to a cellphone via the Honda RoadSync application. There is also a Honda Intelligent Security System (HISS) system to make it safer. In the undercarriage sector, namely the SFF-BP upside down front suspension from Showa, double-disc braking combined with radial calipers from Nissin, which are parts from the previous model.
Old Machine
The engine installed in the CB500F still uses the old heart, aka the previous model, with a capacity of 471cc 2 cylinder DOHC 8-valves, liquid cooled which is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission with the Assist & Slipper Clutch. With that, it can produce up to 47,6 hp of power at 8.500 rpm and 43 Nm of torque at 6.500 rpm. Of course, this engine has passed Euro5 emission regulations.
This naked motorbike in America now only has 1 color, Matte Black Metallic or a fierce matte black. It is priced at 6,899 USD or around Rp. 110.1 million, this price is an increase of 100 dollars (Rp. 1.5 million) compared to the previous year’s model.
