RiderTua.com – In an effort to become Ducati’s main challenger, KTM ‘s race weekend at Jerez ended in disappointment. Brad Binder managed P6 but Jack Miller and test rider Dani Pedrosa (wildcard) failed to finish. Pedro Acosta, who previously performed brilliantly, was forced to settle for finishing 10th while his Tech3 GASGAS teammate Augusto Fernandez also failed to finish.

Miller’s race ended in a fierce confrontation with Franco Morbidelli (Pramac Ducati), after he was knocked out of the top 10. The Australian racer’s weekend was a nightmare, Jack couldn’t do anything. Technical problems, one after another, make Jack look worse than before. He was quite strong at Jerez, good in bad conditions. “He must not show his weakness because of this technical problem,” said Simon Crafar.

Regarding the Miller vs Morbidelli incident, Simon Crafar said that turn 5, a corner like that, encouraged drivers to try it and a crash was the end result. This is disappointing. Miller had a tough weekend. By FIM stewards, Miller’s collision with Morbidelli was considered a racing incident.

Meanwhile, Brad Binder‘s hopes of becoming a world title challenger are not going smoothly. Now the rider from South Africa is ranked 7th in the standings after the first 4 series, 33 points behind leader Jorge Martin (Pramac).

In Jerez, Binder lost in the race for P4 against Alex Marquez (Gresini Ducati) and Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo). “Brad wasn’t happy. I know Brad. He had a chance to get on the podium. He showed speed on Saturday, they worked all night, different tires and the race was longer. I thought he had a chance and it obviously didn’t happen as expected. Final “It’s quite a disappointing week for KTM because usually they are strong here,” added Crafar.

Now Acosta is in 4th place in the standings, only 23 points behind Martin. Previously MotoGP legend Jorge Lorenzo predicted that the 19 year old rider would win the Spanish GP, but his prediction was way off.

“Pedro? I know it will be a difficult race for him in Jerez,” concluded Crafar.
