RiderTua.com – After crashing during the sprint on Saturday, Enea Bastianini initially ran the main race relatively carefully before overtaking Jack Miller on lap 4 and in the middle of the race he displaced Miguel Oliveira from 6th position.
But Brad Binder, who was in 5th place, turned out to be a much tougher opponent. The Red Bull KTM rider managed to fend off every attack from Bastianini. And after every attempt by Bestia to slow down, he regained the lead at the next corner. It was only on the last lap, when the Ducati Lenovo rider tried again as hard as he could and showed his skills again with the tires running out, that his attack was finally successful.

Enea Bastianini explained that she could be satisfied with the results. The speed is quite good. But he and the team must improve the engine brake behavior of their bike. His bike’s fork had problems earlier than other riders’ forks, and that was a problem they would have to solve in the future.
If Bestia manages to overtake Binder early, he can definitely achieve the podium. “But I am behind Brad. And 5th position is my best result,” said the 26 year old rider, dismissing this speculation.
Bastianini added that he expected better results. Since last year he has had difficulty overtaking and turning. A problem he won’t experience in 2022, when he attacked as a Gresini Ducati team rider and impressed time and time again.
The strong performances of Pecco Bagnaia, Marc Marquez and Jorge Martin made Bastianini wary.
