RiderTua.com, Portimão — Portugal Moto2 Free Practice Results 2024: Friday (22/3/2024), QJmotor Gresini rider, Manuel Gonzalez recorded the top time in the FP Grand Prix of Portugal for the Moto2 class. Manuel Gonzalez, showed his speed on the track where the Algarve MotoGP was held during Moto2 Free Practice (FP). ‘Gonzalez’ set his fastest lap time at 1 minute 44,900 seconds. He currently leads +0.588 seconds over Albert Arenas. Meanwhile, Speed Up Racing rider, Fermin Aldeguer, completed the top 3 FP positions with a slower pace of +0.698 seconds.
The fourth and fifth positions were respectively occupied by Honda Team Asia rider, Somkiat Chantra, and CFMoto Aspar Racing rider, Jake Dixon with a gap of +0.859 seconds and +0.950 seconds. In 6th position was occupied by a rider with an Italian passport, Tony Arbolino, who rode his Kalex bike with a time of 1 minute 45.961 seconds. Behind ‘Arbolino’, rider Aron Canet (Fantic Racing) followed with a time of 1 minute 46.335 seconds or a gap of +1.435 seconds from the fastest rider in this FP, so he was only able to rank 7th.
The 8th position was occupied by Alonso Lopez (Speed Up Racing), the Spanish rider recorded a time of 1 minute 46.689 seconds, he was followed by Celestino Vietti (Red Bull KTM Ajo) with a time of 1 minute 46.776 seconds. MT Helmets Rider – MSi, Sergio Garcia completes the TOP TEN ranking with a time of 1 minute 46.874 seconds.
