RiderTua.com – Compared to the standard model, the Yamaha R15M has more complete equipment for use on circuit tracks. In Taiwan, this full-fairing sports motorbike is now getting a refresh. The appearance is similar to the YZF-R1M, with new, fiercer colors.
The New Color
The color scheme is now predominantly black, which is similar to the Yamaha YZF-R1M superbike. The front fairing, side body and tail are glossy black, while the tank and lower undercowl are silver. The rims will still be colored the same blue as the striping.

In Taiwan, the Yamaha R15M is offered at a price of 169,000 Taiwan dollars or around IDR 83,6 million. The price makes you shake your head when compared to the version in Indonesia which is sold for IDR 44,8 million or almost twice as much.
Similar To Its Elder Brother, the YZF-R7
Still with the characteristics of Yamaha’s R series, especially the R15 V4 looks similar to its older brother, the YZF-R7. Moreover, the face is most similar to the DRL lights on the side and in the middle there is a projector headlight. There is also a track & street mode display option on the instrument panel for the “M” variant which can be connected to a cellphone via the Y-Connect application.
Not to forget, there is a traction control system that prevents tires from slipping, disc brakes complete with ABS at the front, and most strikingly the gold upside-down suspension and yellow monoshock.
The engine is still the same as the standard model, with a 155cc 1-cylinder, SOHC, liquid-cooled engine capable of producing up to 18.4 PS of power at 10,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm. Assist & slipper clutch system and there is a quickshifter feature (on the M variant).
