RiderTua.com – After a disappointing race at the Jerez GP, Jack Miller completed 73 laps in Monday’s test. In this test the Red Bull KTM team succeeded in solving the problem. “We had a good day,” said the 29 year old rider optimistically, even though in terms of time he only finished 17th, 1 second behind the fastest rider in the test, Fabio di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46).
“With all the rubber on the ideal racing line, the track was very fast and we made progress in some areas that we struggled with on Sunday. On the other tracks, at least we collected a lot of data,” said Miller.
One of Jack Miller’s problems was constant vibration in his rear wheel, which prevented him from accelerating early when exiting corners. He said that they made quite radical changes to the suspension geometry. And every time you replace a bike on a large scale to solve a problem, it automatically creates side effects in other areas.
“We got answers, but we also asked new questions,” emphasized teammate Brad Binder.
The fact that his team made the bike ‘a little bigger’ for slow corners, and hard braking maneuvers paid off and at least set the course for the upcoming French GP.
“I think we have some information that will help us in the next race. We hope to turn things around and we’ll see what we can do at the Le Mans GP,” concluded Thriller Miller.
