RiderTua.com – BYD has been able to record quite good sales results for its electric cars so far. However, they also collaborate with other brands to develop new models. Like BYD’s collaboration with Mercedes-Benz in the Denza brand. They have just announced that they will release their newest model in Europe starting next year.
Both BYD and Mercedes-Benz have actually been working together for a long time to produce a car brand called Denza. It’s just that this brand name is not well known in the global market because it is sold in a number of regions, not only in the Bamboo Curtain country but also in Europe. Still, Denza is still one of the most well-known electric car brands in these two regions.
The plan is that BYD and Mercedes-Benz, through Denza, will present another new model in the form of the Z9 GT. The model itself has been shown, and it is said that the Z9 GT will be a new opponent for Porsche, especially the Taycan Sport Turismo. Because they are both electric cars, it is clear that this newest car candidate from Denza can compete with the Taycan.
From its dimensions, it is stated that it is longer and wider than the Taycan Sport Turismo, so the Z9 GT can have more spacious cabin space. The design is minimalist but still gives a sporty impression. The Z9 GT will later get three electric motors that can produce 952 hp of power, quite a lot for a sports car like this.
Weighing 2.8 tons, the Z9 GT can still go quite fast, up to 240 km/hour. Regarding the battery, it is still unclear, but it is possible that BYD will provide the latest generation of blade batteries which are said to have a longer range because they consume less power. Later, Denza will release it in his hometown first, then launch it in Europe starting next year.
