Toyota Urban Cruiser Only Sold in India

Toyota Uses Suzuki SUV Base for Urban Cruiser

Hearing the name Cruiser, perhaps the first thing that comes to mind is the Land Cruiser, the full-size SUV that has been Toyota‘s mainstay for decades. Because the name is popular as an SUV, they then developed the name to apply to other models. Like the Urban Cruiser which was launched and only sold in India.

Unlike other models, the Urban Cruiser uses the basis of an existing model, namely the Suzuki Brezza. Of course, Toyota’s collaboration with Suzuki is nothing new in India, considering that both of them also make other rebadged models. The Urban Cruiser is just one example of several rebadged models carried out by the two Japanese manufacturers.

Sales Are Pretty Good

However, with the model being old, Toyota then presented a new variant in the form of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. With this, the old model has been discontinued, and this model is based on the Suzuki Grand Vitara. Then another model called the Taisor was launched a few days ago and is based on the Suzuki Fronx.

As previously explained, the Urban Cruiser is only sold in India, and even then the price is quite affordable. Sometimes cheap cars have few features, but Toyota provides a variety of complete features such as airbags. With this, sales are quite good and have many fans in the market.
