RiderTua.com – Yamaha Japan has just released the 2024 Tricity 155 model. As a three-wheeled motorbike, the newest model gets a number of updates and new, more modern features. This scooter has a unique and complex front leg system, but is still easy to control.
What Are the Updates?
This latest model gets a number of updates, such as a full LCD instrument panel that can be connected to the rider’s smartphone via the Y-Connect application, so that they can display the features in the application on their motorbike. There are also new colors that complement the previous colors.
Now the 2024 model has a total of 3 color choices, including Matte Light Greenish Gray Metallic (which is new), White Metallic and Matte Gray Metallic for the Japanese market.
Suspension and Steering System
The Yamaha Tricity 155 uses a system called Leaning Multi Wheel (LMW), whose function is to adjust the wheel angle to 45 degrees. Even though it uses 2 front wheels, this scooter can still corner easily like a normal 2-wheeled motorbike.
Moreover, the front suspension also moves independently with a Cantilevered Telescopic Suspension system, so that when taken on the road it will feel more stable and comfortable when crossing uneven roads. Combined with the Unfiled Brake System (UBS) braking system to connect the two front brakes on each wheel.
The engine is still powered by a 155cc 1 cylinder engine with a VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) system which has a power output of around 15 HP and 14 Nm of torque. Yamaha Japan has set the price of this three-wheeled scooter at 565,500 yen or around IDR 59.4 million. This motorbike will be suitable for those who want to look different.
