Yamaha Will Introduce a V4 Engine Next Season?

RiderTua.com – If Yamaha wants to keep Fabio Quartararo from leaving and plans to bring the VR46 to a satellite team, they have no choice but to ditch the inline-4 engine and introduce a V4 engine. Several rumors in cyberspace say that Yamaha has ‘secretly’ made a prototype of the V4 engine and has developed it until it has been tested on the test bench. Yamaha is said to have made a prototype of this V4 engine when Rossi was still an active rider, but the fact that they have not put it into practice is due to the typical conservative attitude of the Japanese manufacturer, and Fabio too. Many people said that they had seen the original (V4 engine), but gave up because it was too early, aka not ready. However, if you use a V4 engine, the name will change to Yamaha YZR-M2 😁

Yamaha Will Introduce a V4 Engine Next Season?

Yamaha V4 Engine Fabio Quartararo

But in reality, if Yamaha continues as it is now with an inline-4 engine, there will be no hope for Fabio Quartararo to survive, and Rossi’s VR46 will remain under the Yamaha umbrella even though he leaves Ducati which usually easily finishes at the top. There is no benefit (other than financial) to adding a V4 engine to a Yamaha engine, and even if it doesn’t have enough competitive edge at first, it will be a bike with an engine under development. Because this can give a signal, even though Yamaha will not get satisfactory results, the losses will be minimal. Or maybe release Quartararo and look for a replacement driver?

The problem is the upcoming regulation changes with the move to 850cc in 2027, and if Yamaha introduces a completely new engine now, development costs will be wasted and they won’t be able to win races.

However, with the new regulations coming into force in 2027, there is talk that this could be done simply by changing the current engine diameter, and if so, Yamaha By changing its engines to V4 engines as soon as possible, development of the new regulations could start sooner.

So if this is possible some observers predict: Yamaha will introduce a V4 engine next season. Thus, Fabio’s words a few days ago that:   “God is never late, we are just impatient,”.. seems to mean that perhaps he already knows.. perhaps because the introduction of Yamaha’s V4 engine is imminent, and now they are looking at it. opportunity. This could mean that their V4 engine has already been installed, but there’s no need to rush.

Fabio’s plans for next season are expected to be announced soon. So, if Fabio chooses to stay with Yamaha… that will have to be made clear as Yamaha’s V4 engine is introduced. And VR46 will be a Yamaha satellite team.. In order to hook their big fish (Quartararo and VR46) Yamana has to put the V4 engine on the track..
