Aleix Espargaro Blames Bagnaia… Pecco Shouldn’t Be Too Aggressive

RiderTua.com – Aleix Espargaro spoke about the incident that occurred between Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez.. A very hot topic of conversation on Sunday in Portimao was undoubtedly the clash between Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez, who both crashed at Turn 5. Espargaro gave his view.. “In the end it was a racing incident. It’s a corner where something happens every year, although I think Pecco should have given more space. He was very aggressive after overtaking Marc. There are times when it’s frustrating to be overtaken, but you can’t be as aggressive that and you have to give it more space.”

It is true not to sanction any of the riders, but Aleix believes Bagnaia bears greater responsibility than Marquez for what happened. This debate is open, although the Stewards Panel has now expressed its opinion and that is more important than opinion.

Marc Marquez – Pecco Bagnaia – Racing Incident

The clash between Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez according to Aleix Espargaro’s perspective… The Aprilia rider from Spain gave his perspective on the incident
Espargaro’s views on the incident between Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez at Turn 5 at Portimao have sparked heated debate among fans and pundits. Although there are those who argue that it is a racing incident that could happen to anyone, Maverick Vinales‘ colleague on the official Aprilia team believes that Bagnaia should have given more space to Marquez after successfully overtaking him.

According to Espargaro, Turn 5 is a corner that is known for frequent incidents. He admits that frustration can arise when being overtaken, but he emphasizes the importance of not being too aggressive and giving other riders enough space. It is clear that Espargaro considers Bagnaia more responsible for the incident than Marquez.

Debate over punishment

Interestingly, no penalty was imposed on either driver by the race stewards, so the debate remains open to interpretation. However, Espargaro’s point of view has weight because he himself is an experienced rider. The stewards’ panel’s perspective on the incident will play an important role in determining the final decision, as their assessment is considered more authoritative than individual opinions.

The clash between Bagnaia and Marquez not only sparked discussion among fans and experts but also highlighted the intensity of MotoGP racing. When riders push the limits of their machines and themselves, incidents like this are bound to happen. It is through analysis and learning from these incidents that sport can continue to develop and ensure the safety of all participants.

But both riders are world champions, they know what to do, and Pecco is a rider who is defending his title, while Marc’s initial target is to have fun and see if he is still competitive enough to continue his career.
