Toyota Land Cruiser Subject to Recall in Indonesia

RiderTua.com – Previously, Toyota announced a recall for a number of cars in Indonesia. This was done to deal with a number of problems with their cars, even though they had to handle hundreds of thousands of cars. Now Toyota has announced another recall, this time involving the Land Cruiser 300 and its twin, the Lexus LX600. They will check the car’s ECU components.

Toyota Land Cruiser and Lexus LX600 Withdrawn in Indonesia

The Land Cruiser is one of the premium SUVs that Toyota sells and relies on in Indonesia. Even though they are sold at quite expensive prices, they have received a lot of demand from consumers since the model was first released around 2021. Even though it is priced at more than IDR 1 billion, this model is equipped with a number of complete features and high performance.

However, cars like the Land Cruiser cannot avoid recalls like the one that just happened. Toyota announced the recall of this model in Indonesia, including the LX600, to check and reprogram the car’s ECU (electronic control unit). This component is quite important because it controls the 10-speed automatic transmission, although this problem only affects models built in a certain period.

Handle Two Recalls at Once

Toyota is recalling the Land Cruiser 300 produced in July 2021-January 2024, as well as the LX600 produced in January 2022-January 2024 for handling. However, they did not specify how many units were withdrawn, although it is likely that there will be hundreds of units that they have to handle. Still, they have to deal with this problem, because if left unchecked it will disrupt the working of the clutch disc on the car, potentially causing the brakes to not work optimally.

Now Toyota has to handle more units affected by the recall in Indonesia. Because previously they recalled hundreds of thousands of cars due to a number of problems found in models such as the low MPV Avanza to the LCGC Agya. Of course this is quite troublesome, but for the safety and comfort of car users, they will try to deal with the problem until all units have been handled.
